Juniors

A large portion of Far West Nordic's efforts are focused on supporting, developing, and nurturing our Junior skiers (up to age 20).

Back to Programs

Far West Junior Programs include summer programming, training camps, race trips, Junior Nationals, and the U14 Cup. Far West Nordic also works to provide financial support through grants and scholarships to our highest-achieving junior athletes, both on and off the snow.

Junior Nationals & CNISSF racing

Far West sends its top juniors to the U.S. Junior National Championships each season, and the region's middle and high schoolers race in the California/Nevada Interscholastic Ski & Snowboard Federation (CNISSF) league. Find upcoming junior races on the calendar and past results on the results page.

Grants & scholarships

Far West Nordic offers several grants and scholarships each year, with the goal of providing financial support to the athletes and alumni of the region. Recipients not only achieve exemplary results — representing Far West and the United States on skiing's world stage — but are exemplary competitors, teammates, and ambassadors of the sport.
